Loughton Baptist Church

Loughton Baptist Church is a thriving family Church conveniently situated on the High Road, Loughton.

It has a membership of about 50 people from all walks of life, all with different stories to tell of how

Jesus has transformed their lives.  As a Church we are a close knit family who enjoy spending time together and learning more about the life God has planned for us.  We meet weekly on a Sunday and fortnightly at men's and women's Bible studies where we laugh, share our lives together and discuss how we live as Christians in todays world.  We have an annual Church camping trip and lots of gatherings throughout the year generally over some food!

We are really excited about all that is going on at LBC and it is a great time to be part of the church.   We are involved in many different community activities including:

  • An annual holiday club - Light Factory, for teenagers and school age children consisting of fun, games, stories and gunge!

  • The weekly toddler group Lbeebies is a great place to come for a cuppa and a play with your young children.

  • Every second Saturday of the month is Dad's Time session where Dad's can get together and play with their kids whilst  enjoying a bacon sandwich and a cuppa.

  • Every fourth Saturday is Mini Church for preschoolers to experience a Church service in a more interactive way with stories, puppets and craft.

  • Or if you are looking for something more  creative, then the weekly art club may be an opportunity for you to start a new hobby.

  • Finally if you have an elderly neighbour or relative why not bring them along to our Friday lunch club a chance for them to put their feet up with a cuppa and a natter while their lunch is being prepared for them.

Loughton Baptist Church also supports many community activites on it's premises including a very active

Brownie & Guide pack.  A fortnightly stroke club to support stroke victims and their families and a

Gamblers Annonymous group.

A Sunday service at Loughton Baptist Church lasts approximately one and a half hours,  from 10am until

11.30am.  Typically the morning will include sung worship, often led by our worship group, DVD clips, teaching

that applies biblical principles to our lives and much more.  During the morning service the children and teenagers leave to go to their Sunday school groups (Secondary, Primary, Infant and Preschoolers) while the adults stay in the Church.  Our style is very relaxed and informal and we welcome everyone.  The morning culminates with tea, biscuits and a catch up with friends.  Please feel free to drop in one Sunday.
